When I wrote about the current sleeping arrangements in my family, commenter Jen vented her frustrations with co-sleeping right now. I thought her comment cried out for a little mother-to-mother support. After reading her comment, please leave a comment of your own with how you’ve handled sleeping arrangements and/or weaning from co-sleeping without crying-it-out.

Thanks for your thoughtful comments on my breastfeeding burnout. I took what was written to heart and instituted the following steps:

New scientific research reveals that choosing organic dairy and meat products over conventional products improves the fatty acid content in breast milk. A recent study (PDF) published in the British Journal of Nutrition examined the diets of 312 breastfeeding women from the Netherlands and collected breast milk samples at one month postpartum. Women who reported […]

Welcome to the July Carnival of Breastfeeding! Today we have several entries (listed below) that have some fun with the things kids say about breastfeeding. I’ve written many pieces about breastfeeding humor, so to come up with original material I interviewed my girls this morning.
Me: “What do you like about breastfeeding?”
2.5-year-old: “Mum-mum.”
Me: “What does […]

The Transportation Security Administration loosened its restrictions on carrying expressed breast milk on an airplane to allow mothers traveling without children to bring unlimited quantities in their carry-on bags. Today’s TSA press release states the new rule, which goes into effect August 4, 2007:
TSA is also modifying the procedures associated with carrying breast milk through […]
