I think it is sad that there is still so much ignorance and “BOOB” phobia is this country. There is nothing sexual about breast feeding a baby. It is ironic that society doesn’t have a problem with skimpy tank tops and belly button rings showing, but if a mother is breastfeeding her infant, they complain. It’s time for all breast feeding mothers to fight back. There are many health benefits to breast feeding, far more than formula feeding, yet women are forced to feed their infant in a dirty bathrooms, because someone is uncomfortable with seeing her nurse in public. Come on America. get with the program and tell those people at Applebees to cover up with a blanket so that they can’t see. Why should a nursing woman have to cover up.

I think it is sickening the way society views nursing mothers. I have nursed in department store shoe departments only to have been told to go to the fitting room. I have nursed in the filthy restrooms only to be scowled upon by people coming in when they see Im feeding my baby. It is high time we breastfeeding mothers stand up for our right to nourish our children the way we see fit and for the rights of our children to be fed!!! How about those people who are offended by it go eat their meal in a dirty restroom?

If the breast is so offensive, will they be stocking and offering blankets to those wearing low cut tops with breasts exposed? If feeding a child is wrong, certainly showing them for attention (sexual manner) is too?

Just cover it up…is that so hard? Women have done it for ages.
