Photo Evidence of the Power of Nurse-ins
Amazing how nurse-in signs like this one made by four-year-old Michael:

can help result in signs like this one posted in the window of the Quincy, Massachusetts Applebee’s today:

Congratulations to all the activists on the success of the events.
Thanks Lisa and Jessie for the photos!

The last picture says it all. If only more places of public accommodation “got it” and stopped harassing mothers for being mothers.

Good for that Applebee’s! When I read their comments about carrying blankets in the store for nursing mothers, it bothered me. I may not choose to nurse my baby w/o being covered up, but it’s no one’s place to tell a mother she HAS to do so!
At the same time, that’s assuming most nursing mom’s ARE being more discreet in public than when they’re at home, let’s say. I know I usually am.
Great for the moms who participated in the nurse-in! Someday I hope to join in, too.
