Starting July 1, 2008, a new Indiana law protects breastfeeding in the workplace. The law applies to businesses with 25 or more employees, as well as the state and political subdivisions of the state. Yesterday New York Governor Eliot Spitzer signed into law the “Nursing Mothers in the Workplace Act” which had been unanimously approved by the New York Assembly and Senate. According to the governor’s press release:
